3. Phil Furniss,Field Coordinator
Field available in Spring: Polo Fields
Good Shepherd
Stiltanan
Mission Hill
SLV is a possibility?
Aptos High will let us use the field for try-outs in January.

Cabrillo stadium is unavailable for at least 6 months.
Grass is also limited in Spring, except for Sundays.

4. Collen Corrigan, Referee Coordinator
Referees do not want to mentor because it is a loss in pay.  But, perhaps if you match up experienced refs with younger refs in games, they could educate the younger refs.

Feedback for referees is a good idea. But, it needs to done efficiently and kept in the club.

Colleen thinks the refs should mail in the cards to her.
Motion passed so that Colleen should rent a PO Box in Capitola for referee cards to be mailed to her.

Colleen is setting up a referee class that will be at New Brighton or Cabrillo.

Breakers will bring up a pay increase for refs at the County board meeting.  Breakers will find out if the Breakers are required to pay the same as other County games.

5. Ed Murrer, President
Ed suggests that we form a small uniform committee to make a recommendation to the club at the next board meeting.  The board discusses the parameters of the decision.  We have the possibility to earn some money and charge parents less.

6. Paolo Carbone, Coaching Director
The proposal has been made that U 11 and under will play 8 to a side in 2009. It gives the Breakers the opportunity to have ore than one team in these age groups. In 2010, the Breakers will move to calendar year for player membership on teams.   Paolo asks Jim to write an e-mail to give parents at try-outs information about the Breakers,

Paolo makes coaching recommendations for the 2009 season. Recommendations approved.
Try-outs for the younger players with be January 17th, 24th(girls). Boys will be 18th and 25th.
Motion is made.  Board approves the coaches.

7. Peter Biggam, Communications Director
Discusses plan for website and creating a logo for the Academy.  Carson suggests that Peter also works on a tournament logo.

8. Roberto Garcia, Treasurer
We need to get compliant with laws regarding non-profits. Roberto is planning to come up with proposal for a master account. Centralize payments to coaches and referees.  Need single tax ID for 1099 for coaches.

January, next meeting TBA

Respectfully submitted,
Teresa Gaims, Secretary
